Being a top producing agent is just a great gig, fun and profitable but can have some stress.. that buyer was a floor trader out of NY and paid cash.. so he was a little demanding on her.. but when I was in Charleston 2 weeks ago I wanted to drive by the house as I am quite proud of being the owner builder and they saw us and invited us in without an appointment. and are so proud of their new home.. those are the times that we pinch ourselves and say is this a great industry or what and is this a great country or what..

(this was rectified a few years ago)if one feels they are being overcharged, they may be able to appeal the valuation. then a real appraisal is done and the tax is based on the new value.it would be best to get a real appraisal before you buy. in a pinch, zillow may give you a rough idea of the current value (usually close, but not reliable).
