I had identified a lot whose backyard overlook a lake but the builder just informed me that the area across the lake would have a road and then some commercial properties.

BTW way I live in Lake Forest.

I have some rentals in Syracuse and have also owned a camp on 7th Lake for 30 years.

We recently relocated to Salt Lake and did not buy a house, choosing to rent instead until we get a feel for the place.

Look forward to learning from the experts here.Recently I came across a home on 3 acre of land and a lake in the middle.

Can't help with Provo but if you change your mind for Salt Lake City.

You are welcome to talk to the neighbors, the grocer, the local mailman, the 2 kids running the lemonade stand, the guys repairing the roads, the stoned high school kids 5 doors down, the pilot who flies a plane over on the daily flight to Salt Lake city or even the president of the local avian viewers club.

Areas in Pierce county like Tacoma, Edgewood, Puyallup, Sumner, and Lake Tapps are areas that I can see having a tremendous amount of appreciation in the next few years.

Another friend told me he makes between $70-$80K each year off of his rental property, however, he has a very, very nice home with 6 bedrooms, a sauna, a lake and it's near Hunter ski mountain so he pretty much gets year-round rentals.
