The newer valves are pressure-regulated, so if a toilet is flushed (or another shower is turned on), the pressure may drop a bit, but the temperature shouldn't change much.Maybe it's easier/cheaper to upgrade the shower valves than changing the water heater setup?

If I flipped houses I would hate the retail buyer because they don't like the counter top color, or the way the toilet flushes, or whatever.

Also include WIPES,, what can not be flushed.A local city has banned flushing of wipes due to huge sewer blockage.. 

I'm leaning toward just taking said containers to the dump and buying new ones, but in the interests of saving a few bucks, what's my alternative, hack out the crusty sh*t and leave boiling water in there before attempting a flush?
