So after being laid off a few times in the last 8 years I decided to get back into investing but this time focusing on buy and hold multi family real estate so that I could built wealth that could help me retire my wife who just had a long battle with cancer and survived , but is now back to work, and I want to give her a relaxing life free of all the stress of the world (by the way did I mention she is also in the mortgage lending field) so that explains the urgency to retire her from w-2 work !

I only ask because the main purpose of an LLC is legal protection, and if you don't have a large amount of assets to protect, say less than $1M...you may be putting the cart before the house, and it may make more sense for you to focus more on finding and closing more deals.

Out of curiosity, are you currently focusing more on expanding your short-term rental portfolio or on working with clients to grow theirs?

I would have to imagine folks who are competent enough to represent this type of value-add are typically focusing on larger opportunities than small to mid-size SFR portfolios.  

My overall goal is to buy enough doors to supplement working full time so one day I can focus full-time on becoming an entrepreneur.

Also, focus on the ones in the worst shape.

Makes sense to focus here for an asymmetrical upside. 

With more focus on the inflation of the money supply, investors are allocating less to Treasuries, pushing bond prices down and yields up since they move inversely.Mortgage rates which are closely tied to the 10-year Treasury yield, are rising as those yields climb.
