Can you explain what the benefit is to a property owner to have a literal stranger sublet their house to a whole bunch of other strangers and pocket the difference in rent?

A fun thing I do: I host board games night every week to meet and connect with strangers. 

In the advertisement on BP podcast they exclaim that they will drive up the rentals and that you will have a low vacancy rate. this is 100% true. i have been booked solid since may. however. last month it cost me $500 to let strangers stay in my house and this month i might break even. 

That's an ENOURMOUS amount of trust/money to put into a stranger's hands.

So what your telling me is you would not take the advice of some random stranger to make the biggest financial decision of your life? 

if a seller is not workable over the phone, we do not load up in our cars to go spend the day with total strangers that have pie in the sky daydreams a buckets full of cash from the sale of their house.

That said, I honestly don't see a correction coming;  but stranger things have happened.Rent - it could be challenging to rent anything in Hazel Green for over 1600/month, when you can get a solid 4 bedroom in Madison or Huntsville for 1600 to 2000 right now.

In other words a total stranger with no agent involved... 

You will tire of having strangers live in your house or you will eventually move.
