You can have a 1 bedroom cabin in the same area as a $500 4 bedroom cabin and people aren’t sacrificing safety/area for it.  

I would advise that you have all contracts with your contractors and subs to state timelines as well as bonuses for finishing early (without sacrificing quality of course) and penalties (per diem) for finishing late.

You're the one who sacrificed, saved,  and forewent other opportunities that might've been more fun so you could rehab a kitchen, etc.

Three months later, I regretted the decision because someone dinged my door and I realized I could have had the same tax benefits with a used vehicle for half the price.Long story short, I think you should continue sacrificing until you've reached your goal.

I would also mention that where it is allowed, listing agents who act in a dual-agent capacity are going to want to realize that dual agent commission and will be minimally interested in sacrificing a portion of their commission and almost certainly not half.

While still in school, save up any funds you can, and learn as much about REI as you can (without sacrificing your current schooling, of course)!

You seem to take pity on poor people that suffer but not on those that sacrificed and worked hard to dig themselves out of poverty.

With jobs, school, kids, church, and all the other obligations in our lives most people just don't have the available time, or they don't want to sacrifice their time.The investors that are advising you to take on the sweat equity generally have more time and they can trade that time for profits without sacrificing time with family, ect. 

I sacrificed cash flow at one property to pick it up on another!
