Just remember, that these protection systems need to be tax neutral otherwise the asset transfer can be considered fraudulent.

How do you find a positive (or neutral) cash flow investment property in a decent neighborhood?

Hanging a large picture or something at the head of the bed usually looks nice.Additional Bedrooms:Any additional bedrooms, I stage either as an office with a writing desk and computer chair, a workout room (yoga mat and pretty exercise accessories), or a nursery with a neutral white or wood toddler bed and a changing table. 

It is light, very neutral so it looks great with any decor. 

Consider hiring a neutral party to facilitate a resolution if direct communication is challenging.Good luck!
