I have the KwikSet Smart Key that allows you to re key a lock without changing the cylinder.

I try to be even-handed because I know there are good programs out there, but I also tend to look at paid coaching/mentorships in REI as playing Russian Roulette with 4 or 5 rounds in the cylinder. 

small cost to accommodate,, put regular door knob on the master bedroom no need for privacy or locking knob on any bedroom doors, those are reserved for bathrooms only. storm door depending on what type of lock it is, I would try and have a non locking door, you could probably just remove the cylinder, all that door needs is to be able to be kept shut, it's not a entry door.

Keeping the wonky mechanic theme:If the 4cyl, air-cooled engine in your 1975 VW camper needed a new top-end (all four cylinders), but you decided to replace (rehab) only two cylinders ... you won't be leaving the driveway for that trip to Burning Man.When I look at a partially renovated property, I go in with the position that if the vendor was too underfunded to complete the project, than it is more than possible that s/her also took shortcuts in the work which has been completed.  

As mentioned above though, it might be worth looking into a KwikSet or SmartKey cylinder lock so you can rekey it every time a new tenant moves in.

I feel like Louisville was really firing on all cylinders back in 2018/2019 and showing up more and more often on a national radar. 

The Landlord cylinders take less than a minute to swap compared to about 10 minutes to swap traditional lock set.I have had kwikset fail, but not resulting in a lockout. 

If China opens today, and all factories fire on all cylinders, how fast do we solve supply chain issues?
