Washing machines (2) (lost the clutch & main pump <1yr old), fridges (2) one had 3 new boards installed until we gave up & sold it, stoves (control wiring faulty & one ceramic top cracked by itself) & dishwashers (entire pump mechanism failed < 1 yr old).

So I've pretty good luck with the other option: I buy cute, inexpensive ceramic cartridge faucets off ebay or amazon or on sale at a box store-- the ceramic cartridges are relatively trouble free and when the finish is shot I"ll just get a new one.
