I haven't been but I know the local REIA meets at the Asia Buffet on the first Thursday of the month (I can't recommend the place but that's where the meeting is apparently).

Not qualified to be a person that puts deals together, but I currently am garnering project interest from the Asia sector(specifically China/Taiwan) with the support of a law firm based in Hong Kong.  

We see a lot of investors from Asia putting down full cash offers on a range of listings across different American cities.

US is a relatively young country compared to Europe and Asia...both of which went thru this process of people moving to city, not sure what it is called....If you look, major cities all around of the world is super expensive....
