So after looking at lifestyles and goals of some people I admire I have made a goal to read more about real estate.Being in the commercial development industry, there are a ton of information and materials out there.

Communication is the key here you’ve stated your trying to be accommodating which shows your compassion and that’s admirable because that’s one of the you’ll be judge on when your days are up.

I hate that it is behind my house and uses the easement on my land for ingress/egress (NIMBY)but admire the value add.So it would appear Poway does not have a maximum size on their ADU or maybe the Rabi got a variance.

I’m admire your friend that he’d dedicated into learning and become big success( amazing wife and nice car!).

You are correct when you say "life doesn't always go as planned..." but I admire your determination and your focus to your real estate plan in life.
