So I'm strongly considering adding a handful of these to my buy & hold portfolio.I understand that there's no "risk-free" method to acquiring these properties subto, but have any of you had success over the long-term acquiring properties with VA loans attached?

I think house hacking with a VA is still well worth it. 

I know in Virginia my friend had a similar issue (side-by-side duplex, though, not second floor) and he was not proactive, just warning them several times verbally.

Virginia passed legislation last year (I was not involved) that defined it as a real estate brokerage activity, thus nessceitating a license to wholesale.  

Sometimes it’s the VA that asked the question first  and then the person they’re marketing for comes on the thread and answers the questions to promotes their services.

With VA loans, you’ve got a huge advantage to get started with little to no money down, and military bases are perfect for long-term or short-term rentals.

Fairfax county virginia is very different than Montgomery county maryland even though they are right next door to each other and most do business in both. 

@Ryan Mcpherson   100% financing with no MI so I assume a VA mortgage?
