But now that it's all said and done I am wondering if I was duped because I've been told that assigning homes in Quebec is illegal (which was one way to start making money with Real Estate without putting money down) and wholesaling doesn't apply here because we have quite a strong market, so I'm just not sure where that leaves me on how someone with no money can break into investing in the Canadian market.

@Melissa H.Hi Melissa,I know this is not what you are asking but before you invest in Québec I would recommend you to familiarize yourself with the regié des logements as Québec je probably the least landlord friendly place in Canada.

i'm noticing that many properties in my area (sherbrooke quebec) have infiltration. is this something to be concerned about?

Hello, i was wondering if there is anyone knowledgeable about the differences between buildings built at different time periods in quebec (and rest of canada, for that matter). for example, what problems should i be looking out for in a building constructed around 1900, vs a building constructed in the 50's or 60's?
