A couple friend of mine from Montreal have kinda turned into real hippies and they spend half of the year in Zipolite, not far from Puerto Escondido, where it's impossible to buy with a clear title.

Roller Derby and, consequently 4-skates, have made pocket resurgences in specific locales (Montréal comes to mind).

The price/rent ratio near Montreal (where I live) is absolutely terrible.

While I think this is a solid point of view, I think there is some room on the upside, but the Capital Region needs to do a better job of branding itself beyond being the state's capital.We're an hour from the Adirondacks, a couple hours from Boston, NYC, Montreal.
