You might want to visit Detroit if you have not, and drive around the different streets in the city- but I warn you it is very dangerous in many parts.

Then, I would follow up with a text message saying "As per our conversation about the trash cans, I will speak to tenant X and warn them not to use yours".

I am still doing some market research to narrow down my location and am therefore looking for any insight be it advice or warning, I'm open to it all.

This will hurt the tenant's credit score, it will warn future landlords when they run a credit check, and it will prevent the tenant from qualifying for a personal loan, home loan, etc.

Just help me warn all the newbies that are mistakenly trying to save a few $$ or get some silly Credit Card points...... :-) 

The premise remains the same, as does my warnings.

We try to warn owners that an agent getting a commission for finding a tenant is fine, but having that same agent do the screening is a MAJOR conflict of interest. 

They should all be warned and suspended if behavior continues.
