They also told people to stop sitting on home equity and tap into that as an asset to use for education and build a better life.

If you live in the home for 2 out of the past 5 years and move out of state you may be exempt from the tax.  

Would the buyers/borrowers be purchasing with the intent of putting a mobile home on the property and making it their primary residence?

I would focus on homes with dysfunctional floor plans.

Not sure if you own or rent your primary home, but not all DSCR lenders will lend to first time homebuyers and/or first time investors...just a heads up.

Better than underground homes which have issues with moisture etc.

Okay that seems like good news for making a BRRRR work in my market since I was looking to spend something like 45-75 on rehabs for these smaller sized homes. 

@Mike Levene do any of you own your homes currently?

We acquired 3 single family homes in 2023 and we are midway through a 6-unit deal for 2024 and looking to get more.
