Someone could argue it could be any one of a million reasons, root,semi clogged drain, change in water table due to retention pond river lake near by, Crack in foundation, etc

@Cyle HarrisPlacing a house under contract with no ability or intention to close is the root of the problem.

They don't own the mortgage and they get paid for 'servicing'.That's the root of the problem and why the top-levels don't seem to do anything about it.The other issue is man-power and corrections.
