If you are helping others, you may find it hard to limit yourself to weekends....what if a deal is falling apart on a Wednesday afternoon?

We rent it short term in the summer and mid term fall through spring.

Awesome to read all of the posts and replies on BP...I can tell this is going to be a great resource for me.I'm new to the real estate game and see my first investment being in Spain (I'm moving there this fall and the plan is to be there long term.

Are you considering attending BPCON in the fall?

I rented out a tiny commercial space to some ladies that wanted to open a retail clothing store. 10 days after move in they had a falling out and one of them moved her portion of the merchandise out of the store the next day.

and I know there is some form of cancellation but not this close to the stay and If I could i would postpone 2 days so the first day of fishing is not in snow flurries :)the other major issue for me is POINTS  i earn enough points each year to get 10 to 14 free nights .. like in Puket  or last fall in Lisbon or a few years ago the Hilton Wikaloa on the big island and they upgraded us to a suit that was easily a 7 to 8k perk all for free.  

I think its a great idea and may be the difference between a potential buyer setting that appointment to come and see it and end up falling in love with it at the showing 

My concern is being able to find a tenant during fall/winter months.
