When I looked at a home in Lake Carmel,  I couldn't believe they paid $10k for such a tiny plot of land!

Tiny home park was one thing that came to mind.

I'm curious if anyone has any insight into the tiny home community movement in Austin?

I know all the basics to it, but I feel like I’m missing tiny details.

A few contributing factors: (1) my wife already worked remote pre-COVID and my employer is WFH until at least early next year, (2) we're paying an ungodly amount in rent for a tiny apartment without any of the original benefits of living in the city, and (3) we plan to spend the next 3-5 yrs on the west coast before eventually moving back east.The current strategy I'm debating is two-fold.

This is NYC... the jobs that would have been added would only represent a very TINY percentage of overall jobs.If Amazon went to say, Buffalo, that would have a HUGE impact.Given that though, I would hate to be the person that had bought a Long Island City Condo because of the HQ2 win only to find out today that it was rescinded!

I achieve more than adequate protection through the responsible acquisition of liability insurance property specific and umbrella, and I do it at a tiny fraction of the cost and hassle that an array of LLCs would cost me. 

And at some point this will be a negative a 1500 foot 5/2 probably has tiny bedrooms that will be a negative.Be very careful in this situation.

But if the house is a tiny 2/1, 800ft2 cottage in an area that is building 4/3, 3000ft2 houses, then its likely wasting time, as most would be looking for the land to build the bigger house and see it as a tear down.If you primary objective is the sell it, talk to a local realtor thats familiar with your area and see what they think.
