Here in Colorado, I pay the following:$279 for a 432 unit community that has a pool, a clubhouse, an exercise room and pool tables, landscaping and a shared water bill$305 for a 183 unit community with no pool, but has landscaping and a playground$338 for a 120 unit community with a pool, a clubhouse and landscaping.Your mileage may vary, but your HOA dues seem reasonable(ish) to me.

And yes, I'm not too worried with missing out on some appreciation with rates climbing; again, renting would mean I could go to the table cash, which should make up for some, maybe all, of the costs of renting for a year.
