If something goes wrong with the house, your tenant, or your team you might be a plane flight away from being able to address the problem yourself which requires substantial time and money.Not trying to turn you away from investing out of state, it can be GREAT if done correctly.

 So, I have a job that allows me to travel anywhere on the globe for free (small fee for international flights), and it's really cool.

Start by looking at cities you're familiar with, which are within a reasonable drive or flight away from where you are.

I do need/desire to move to a new city with better flight transportation due to traveling 90%+ for a consulting job.Am I able to secure another primary residence/FHA loan on a new property (thinking Charlotte/Chicago/Dallas) without breaking the loan terms?

You might consider immediately firing the bad PM company and booking a flight to get the place in hand before you pass it off to a new company. 

Maybe it's on the flight path of the local airport or down wind from a meat packing plant.
