I light a fire in the hot water tank shell, water is circulated by a pump through 2 garden hoses through the heat exchanger coils and back into the tank.My tenants work on things like the heat exchanger coil, but it's upright and about the size 40-50 upright school busses side by side and stacked on top of each other.

If they choose to find lower size comps, they can really hose your appraisal.If you have a 2,000 sq ft home and then pull a bunch of 1,500 sq ft comps and give you 5k or 10k as an adjustment, you're in trouble.

Sounds like a win win, but a hydraulic line blowing on equipment and dumping a few gallons of oil on the ground and a light rain to run it down the street can turn a couple easy bucks into a head ache if wasn't addressed beforehand.Best of luck!

Finished basements are not a good idea due to risk of flooding from a) high water table, b) poor drainage from exterior of house, c) water heater leak, d) plumbing pipes letting go. e) washing machine hoses bursting, f) basement bathrooms, g) sewage backups from the street, etc.

You might be able to find the cause of the leak.If vacant, try contacting the owner.It's best if you can find the source of the leak to stop it, but if you can't, try using hydraulic cement and/or DryLok™ on the leaking wall.
