In my communities I see improvements in infrastructure and services which keeps rent increasing and downtown areas getting cleaned up and the homeless contained.

Probably an Internet Agitator re. the word choices.Anyone with a roof over their head for 10 years and not enough money to buy a house ought be greatful there are "Affordable" rentals for them to live in.It's not our fault America does not have enough good paying jobs for everyone to own a house.Maybe these agitators ought to agitate for more good paying jobs to come to America.Without us these renters would be living in under overpasses, and sleeping in the streets like the homeless hobos--and that's not right.Just my 2 cents.https://www.youtube.com/watch?

They were about to be homeless as they got notice their house was being sold for back taxes.

This is a program intended to prevent homelessness in our older population. 

Look at your city's 311 service, it's public data and will have hundreds of reports such as abandoned homes, homeless activity, high grass, etc..

"invest in what you know" so my investment strategy was: SFR, Sunbelt states, 1% rule, cities with at min national averages (pop increase, homeless, income... yadda yadda) and ones who CAFR was investing in themselves while paying down debt.

Dress nice, not look homeless, and dont over spend on a car.

In all of this we do not want to keep our current duplex as the homeless industrial complex is aggressively trying to eliminate small property owners where we currently live and I want out before our local market is destroyed. 

@Andrew Postell not only that but also we dont want his mom or us to end up homeless at the end of the day that's our family and we want to help so that we can all have a residence to fall back on at least.
