Police and detectives could not find any next of kin.

I find it kind of comical though Although when i had my HML company I have Accurant/lexus nexus and you can find all sorts of stuff with that service.. we did it to skip trace and back ground .. there was a nice module  for borrower fraud detection

Also the police are sending a detective to home depot to see if they can get footage of whoever returned a toilet at 8:59am today.

for larger landlords and if they can get the service lexus nexus fraud detection works.. i had that in my HML shop and ran all potential borrowers through it.. 

I just leave the alarm off and just get the motion detection notifications on my phone.

So don't beat yourself up.this is good detective work on your part to bring to light alter ego's etc etc. 

I spent almost an entire day explaining to a detective how this was a very simple issue that could be verified if I could access my email to establish the facts, I still had the envelope the check was mailed in  which they were trying to say was irrelevant.

Not just any doctor but those who specialize in detecting the faked injuries and able to prove those that were "accidental" (self-induced).

use your normal due diligence tactics as taught on BP and you should be fine :)But like I said its pretty easy for me to detect someone or company that has been doing this a while and that was certainly my impression of the owners of Smartland.. although I have never laid eyes on any of their inventory or work product.. but from the discussions we had they told me they work the higher end of the Cleveland market.
