The previous landlord was a long distance investor and definitely not aware of the degrading visual appeal of the apartment because of the pros listed above. 

Home inspectors only do visual inspections. 

All these are visual inspections looking for obvious signs and age/condition. 

It's a great neighborhood, we are the ugly duckling for sure; maybe visual construction along is enough to get people curious. 

@Andrew Yarman ok that's interesting how do you go about opening a account strictly for Real Estate I just have a Chase account which is just traditional I wish there was a video that could explain this to get a visual idea of what it is.

Also, I have noticed that the VA can indeed be a deterrent for sellers and understandably so, even though yes its probably not right, but your comment about the area that we are in does make complete sense and I am laughing at myself for not realizing that.
