Foundation issue and missed item on property inspection
I purchased a property which had some foundation settling. At first it looked like it was simply from age but later discovered it was because of an open air drain that the property inspector missed. The water drains right down into the foundation and to fix the foundation and get the drain tied in will be close to $20k.
Have any of you run into similar situation? What was your solution?

Inspectors don’t insure or have any liability for this....read their report, their liability is limited to the fee you paid them, at most.
