No need for anyone to ever know.Statistically you will never need or use it and in the very rare circumstance the need should arise you will be more concerned about covering your butt than pulling the trigger anyway.

@Johnny Kang That simply refers to an automatic trigger of the 1099 at 36 months of no payments.....doesn’t change anything about a lender being required to issue a 1099 when they Actually forgive a debt.
