NOW, I think the appetite for a multiyear lease may less so I was thinking of approaching things differently.

The down side very heavy matienence  ,a lot of turn over. it depends on ones appetite for the product.just my two cents Alex

I have spoken with a few people from the city about it and have been informed that this will take me into commercial structural code, that would require a fire suppression system and an architect to draw up the plans to make sure all codes are met.

The listing agent has said that the seller doesn't have any appetite for fixes/replacements or concessions since I negotiated them down on price by 2.5% and negotiated a 4.2% owner carry contract versus 5.0%. 

I still think Clayton is taking a big risk trying to squash this - the Streisand Effect suggests that an attempt to suppress embarrassing or damaging information will just draw more attention to it. 

Sorry Clay but I have said from the beginning that you can't just bully Holton-Wise into suppressing information from the public.

What's your appetite for rehab work? 

This will do a couple of things.1)  it will get them to ask questions in a non threatening setting.2) it may whet their appetite to either do something themselves or may inspire them to refer someone in their sphere of influence to you.Hope this helps!!
