Well start with their name in Google, check FB and Linkedin, check for BK on Pacer.gov.

Like i had this guy contact me on LinkedIn Fortune financials http://www.fundingkey.net/And it looks legit but I can never tell.

Keeping up with the professionals on Linkedin is hard!

I'd say keep active on these forums, reach out to local investors (via BP, LinkedIn, facebook, and anywhere else you can find them!)

Looking for their Craigslist ads, bandit signs, and LinkedIn searches have each been successful for me.
