If you want to give back, go down the soup kitchen and donate your time.

Alot of great stuff ends up being donated.

I was very naive in thinking that the real estate community would flood us with donations. 

But here I am raising money through donations for my charity aheroshome.org  to GIVE a home away to a deserving first responder.. so I come from a different view point I guessand believe me when I was the big bad bank these investor landlords thought it was my fault that we lent them the money  LOL. shoe was on the exact opposite foot when it was them under stress.. and me being the big bad lender.. so I get it.. 

They started a rental assistance fund a couple of weeks ago with a goal to hit $10K and asked anyone in a good financial position to donate as desired.

Pls guide  Check the unit for pets, if you find them put down some Purina Chow and a big cooking pan of water.You can have a free new pet or contact a no-kill shelter.If you wait on this and the pet dies in there, the stench is awful and sometimes soaks into the carpet and sub floor.Pets need water and food on a daily basis or they will die.They also accept donations:  https://www.nokillnetwork.org/

Maybe you can pay one of their bills or money towards one for their bills and write a check for that company.Sometimes giving money is a challenge, that is why I try to brainstorm what would be best used and most effective.What about helping the community some and making a food donation to a local food bank or charity?
