Can anyone refer an investor friendly real estate agent for Chicago suburban Lake County? 

I am under contract on a MF property with water damage from a burst pipe that also happened to allegedly crack the foundation, causing flooding to a neighboring property.

If you like to go skiing or to the lake or shore where the prices are lower consider buying a multi-unit there.

I'm seeing this with our flip in Salt Lake City. 

Ideal places for us are: Santa Cruz, Monterey, Lake Tahoe, San Diego, etc...).- Be a day's drive or less to our families (one family lives in San Diego another lives in the Bay Area). - To buy something that helps us build wealth rather than wipe out our savings and dig us into a debt hole at $6500+ a month mortgage (for if our income changes). - To buy smart because our income fluctuates wildly. 

My only current out of state is on lake Minnetonka.

Here, in Salt Lake City properties have gone up 10-15% appreciation every year for the past few years.

I went to the court house in Salt Lake. 

East of Exchange close to lake has some bad areas and there has been a couple of shooting/homicides in this area in the last 2 weeks.

I have come across 2 properties in the last two weeks in Salt Lake where the owner has said that the property is one size and Zillow has said it is significantly smaller than what the owner says!
