There are other shades that have a mix of colours but the brown shade is darker and seems more likely to hide stains.

Not my intent to throw shade here, because Rob seems like a great guy, and I haven't seen his course, but he recently did his video where he shared his STR revenue and it was really underwhelming compared to what most hosts are doing on similar properties. 

If you are going from a darker to lighter color, it may take a second or third coat in the areas that there is writing. 

Really it all comes down to the roof, South facing is fantastic, East-West is workable but less efficient because you must cover both side, North is useless, Shade is also a deal killer.  

I'd recommend a darker color for a rental unit because even with low staining, the lighter colors will stain or become very hard to clean if say coffee or red wine are left on the surface too longer.

Not sure but it seems possible that the solar panels will shade the roof and make thehouse cooler in the summer by reducing the attic temps.

You could go with blue, but several shades darker than the house colour.
