There are a lot of websites that monitor/ aggregate crime statistics. https://www.raidsonline.com/Websites like raidsonline aren't perfect indicators (for example, crime rates downtown appear high but the same market supports some of the most expensive apartments/ homes in Lexington), but they can be a useful starting point.

It depends neighborhood by neighborhood, but if you can collect close to 100 (3 bedroom +) sales within a mile or two radius, you’ll have some statistical data you can rely on.

Just to revisit a topic earlier in the thread, overseas death statistics/causes are readily available from the State Department. 

I would try ordering a copy of the death certificate from Vital Statistics.
