My brother-in-law is doing well with his rental properties and he’s really inspired me to get going with my own real estate endeavors.

I'm seeing a lot more young O-1's at flight school getting involved in real estate and it's inspiring. 

It's a kinda rough neighborhood in a great area - would my investment inspire other property owners to upgrade? 

More of the same is usually the key to incremental improvements (or "kaizen" if you follow Toyoda inspired management theory), synergies, efficiencies and eventually mastery.However one duplex does not make a strategy - I changed to SF after my first duplex almost 10 years ago after I realized I did not have the time to scale the more management intense 2 families.So I would ask the question, what are the 10 next properties you will acquire?

I know it is tough to keep getting these reactions, focus on surrounding yourself with people that inspire you and challenge you to move forward.
