The longer you wait to address the tenants on the changes, the more resistant they will be. 

We were named one of the top ten recession resistant cities for 2020, and in the last month Amazon signed a new lease here and Tesla is in the process of negotiating a deal for a factory.

In some cases, landlords are very resistant.

All the leases are more or less the same in Spain, so doing something different from the 'normal' will probably get some resistance. 

Prime, paint white, use a sprayer and put a clear laquer for a hard chip resistant surface.  

@Pavel Bennett You won't find much resistance if you're acquiring a nonconforming multifamily property.

I'm going to resist the urge to give you the full story right now. 

Drive-to vacation rentals should flourish through the entire affair, because 1) Folks still would like to vacation, and 2) Said folks resist flying, due to both economic and safety reasons, and 3) they would much prefer staying in a home instead of a hotel, for safety reasons.It's the perfect storm for vacation rentals in drive-to destinations.

Through that lens, I would much prefer to have capital exposed to CRE than public equities, particularly to recession resistant real estate.
