@Don Meinke If you want to save on electricity bills and are going to be pulling insulation anyway, I recommend sealing around all the light fixtures up in the ceiling on the attic side.  

Mice is a big problem first make sure all cracks and holes in foundation are sealed. 

After doing research I'm no longer scared of it, as long as it's sealed, but I'm wondering how many people would pass on a house b/c of asbestos.Thanks all!

Brian,Once you get settled in, you just need to change your drivers license and vehicle registration to Florida, then, if you want to really seal the deal as far as being considered an official Florida resident, you can go down to the local county courthouse and file a "Declaration of Domicile" form.  

I also sealed all the cracks and gaps with a black flexible caulk.

I know sealing any cracks, powerwashing and repainting every few years is necessary.

I bought it for $37k, spent about $5k bringing it up to standards (mostly a floor sand and seal which completely eliminated the odor).

Those closets should be fire rated and have makeup air to each one. they should have a layer of 5/8" drywall on the walls with all joints sealed. any penetrations should be sealed with Fire caulk.
