@Don Meinke If you want to save on electricity bills and are going to be pulling insulation anyway, I recommend sealing around all the light fixtures up in the ceiling on the attic side.

Brian,Once you get settled in, you just need to change your drivers license and vehicle registration to Florida, then, if you want to really seal the deal as far as being considered an official Florida resident, you can go down to the local county courthouse and file a "Declaration of Domicile" form.

Those closets should be fire rated and have makeup air to each one. they should have a layer of 5/8" drywall on the walls with all joints sealed. any penetrations should be sealed with Fire caulk.
