I am exploring the idea of carving out a mother in-law suite from an existing SFR.

Im looking to rent it out to my mother and I would do a cash out refi to buy a multi family.

I have a call into the zoning dept currently, I was thinking of an ADU mother in law suite- the garage is already there, just needs to be turned into a living space.

The lady have added the mother-in-law as co-applicant and claiming that she will be living with them.

I was knocking on some doors in a neighborhood i have property in and came across an older lady that was living with her very old mother who passed away recently.

My mother-in-law has moved into a retirement community.

So instead I focused on larger homes with a “mother-in-law suite”.

If you're not able to get multifamily, I'd suggest a single-family home that has a mother-in-law suite or something that you could easily create a separate entrance. 

My father lived with my mother and since I did not want my mother living alone, I have moved in to my parent's home.

Actually I left South Lake Tahoe with my mother just a few hours before we got the evacuation warning and a day before it became mandatory because I knew the wind was shifting and the air was getting so bad.
