New and looking for some feedback
Hey Everyone!
Brand new here and to real estate. I’m 47, recently divorced and sitting on minimal cash. I gave up equity in the house to make the settlement easier (mistake in hindsight, but live and learn).
I am living in an apartment and was thinking about house hacking a duplex or four plex for my first deal.
I would have to pay to get out of my current lease which is probably only 2 grand so not a big deal.
Opinions on this as a way to get myself started? I've been thinking about this for a while and have not done anything because of the cash required for down payment, but I could do FHA and move forward with minimal cash investment.
My other thought was to borrow against my 401k and do a turnkey.
Either way I want to start soon.
Thanks, Brian
