Babysitting is a business, brings extra vehicular traffic TWICE a day and depending upon the configuration of the unit, can be disturbing to others.

Mine is configured to just ring but I have it set to pass the original caller's caller ID so I can use that to screen if necessary.

Given that the big cities seem to be having a hard time controlling their runaway housing prices, and given that Western Mass isn't that far away and will be better connected by rail soon (to NYC), and given that there are many jobs/household configurations that require just one foot in the door in the City, I think if you pick the right spots in Western MA you will see some genuine appreciation....

It was very easy to use and it handled the variety of configurations we needed. 

Also sounds like the handler probably wasn't the same size/configuration as the old one.  

I don't know your local regulations or the exact configuration of the basement, but the legalities of having bedrooms in basements can be very tricky.

Although they're kind of ugly and may not work in every kitchen configuration. 

That “creative” configuration was causing the leak.

Whenever I replace kitchens in small single family rentals, I try to configure them to be in a straight line ( like a Gally kitchen ) so the replacement of them is easy and accessible at any home depot or Lowes. 8 ft long sectionals are extremely cheap and come with the countertop most of the time.
