Our goal was to get rid of our older houses which need more maintenance ($$) and invest in fewer but newer houses.

Start small with one property, choose a strategic location, stay transparent with lenders, and ensure tax compliance.

Have two years of W2 income, RE goals, and start talking to lenders about getting pre-approved.

With all of that said, my main goal is to have long term appreciation and if there is a little extra cashflow at the end of the month, great.
