My practice area ties heavily into the real estate industry and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on ways to build my referral network both in law and real estate as I plan to do some heavy real estate investing in the near future. 

I am also becoming an agent soon and it is an illegal practice of law to draft a lease agreement as an agent and one could loose their license.

I suspect when this goes to litigation and these usually do.. that is going to be a course of action taken by plantiffs attornies.. who violated the laws on compensation..

I would avoid Holly Hill, Daytona's ghetto, like the plague because the oldest profession seems to be a major profession there if you know what I mean.The Daytona area is a bit or of my way, and my brother-in-law had frequently complained about finding a nice property that turns out to be in Holly Hill.Nearby Ormond Beach and Port Orange seem like nice communities in comparison.

I am no expert (hence posting here) but the bit that I have read seems to indicate that if the business is located in CA and operating in CA (as is the case since the property is in CA), the business is likely to fall under CA laws in the event of an issue. 

., Berkeley or Oakland - the laws are very pro-tenant.

It harms American citizens and puts law-abiding small businesses at a disadvantage.

The numbers look OK, but I am worried about tenant protection laws in this blue state.

Best to meet with an attorney on this one before you do something against the law.
