At the heart of it - Airbnb/VRBO are marketing companies that get paid for the connection between guest/host and frankly and unfortunately, they still have the large amount of value for the confidence from a guest’s perception. 

It's a societal norm now for everyone to have an opinion and confidence (rather than humility) whether they have achieved expertise and success to date or not. 

I have daily conversations with buyers and their mis-perceptions about the space and loan with yield and security of the leases.

So I think our perception upfront was more drastic than in the investors’ minds.

I’ve never canceled a guest before and (being new to this) I have a perception that there are consequences to me if I cancel guests.

@Dawn AnastasiI agree that this is one of the tougher aspects of the business.There are a lot of negative perceptions that people will throw at you as a landlord they say is a slumlord or as a rehabber they think just covers up serious system and structural issues with new paint and nice fixtures.I won't claim this is a strong area for me but I think you have to have the attitude that most have touted that you have to KNOW you are giving them a great opportunity and speak to it that way, even if you get a Debbie Downer trying to bring you down.

This post will not explore the greater influences of unprecedented private and public debts, climate change, societal and economic inequalities and waning dollar dominance but none of those contributors are positives for investors outside of the aforementioned assets, with the exception of climate change..Curry county OR and the PNW Coast at large will arguably benefit from migration patters and more temperate climates..more on that in the next episode..The takeaway is that investors might have fewer tangible metrics to invest in real estate but the intangibles could make a good deal a great deal. 

To be clear, when I said "unsaid understanding", that has always been what it was from my perception but I honestly don't know for sure.

I am hoping to avoid highlighting any individual syndicators to avoid the perception of bias.
