I am living in half of it with a roommate, while renting the other half.

Does anyone have experience with having/leasing to roommates in their primary house?

Duplex, Single family, landlord, property manager, always had roommates/tenants.

This home has never been considered a roommate friendly property.

You might have to make the sacrifice of that 1hr commute.But ultimately, if you don't mind having roommates than SFR might be the way to go.

Put them as  roommates on a" joint and several " lease.
