Set up an account that will auto pay the mortgage payment which can get you a very small break on the interest rate (usually a quarter to half a percent for having auto pay).

Scott Stark Can students who are unemployed but on scholarship or get stipends they say they will use to pay rent? If so can I work with the school and directly receive payments from such a program?

It is not possible from what I know to get the money directly from the school.btw, scholarships and loans (ask them which one they have) are typically dispersed in lump sums per quarter or semester, depending on the school's system.
