I am actively learning how to comp properties and would like any tips and/or tricks on how to better comp.

I'm not saying this because of what I currently do but what I've learned is when starting to flip or rent out many properties it would behoove you work work with private money or hard and not residential mortgage companies for investment properties at first.

Limited labor and resources : Unlike the catastrophic fires in Lahaina Hawaii there are significant resources in Los Angeles to contribute to recover, but quality contractors, tradesman, plumbers, electricians and laborers have long been in short supply.

You can also use online resources such as City Data to search demographics in the area. 

I've been away from BP for a little while, but now I’m back and excited to dive in and learn as much as I can.

You learn what you can as quickly as possible, and start implementing.

I learned how to do many repairs myself, I showed all the homes myself, and I made it work.
