IMO, that's a fundamental faux paux.

Lot's of "date nights" at HD and Lowes and D4Ds.She told me a story of how she went into a pawn shop to kill some time and look for deals, and the owner kept trying to direct her to the jewelry case, and she instead asked where he kept the power tools for sale ... after that story I new she was a keeper.

He does higher end work on the SC coast and will give you a good idea of what kind of kitchens are going into higher end houses that get put into magazines about 2500 sq ft  Look up Vintage Builders on IG and go through their projects.

Bathroom will be a selling point if you go with the vintage-farmhouse look and I personally would be thrilled to have a big ol tub to soak in.... :-)  You could also apply a frosting or privacy film to the bottom half of windows, so that the renter doesnt have to have a textile covering (which harbors mold and bacteria, not good in bath).  

Place your vehicles, furniture, jewelry, other personal property and even your check books into personal property trusts. 

Just leave the doors open. 2" white faux wood blinds can often be cheaper than the aluminum mini blinds.

I hate to bring this up, but before you go on vacation, you might box up some of your personal stuff (electronics, jewelry, cash, etc.)

Maybe I am wasting money, but I put up the faux wood blinds (white) from Home Depot.

Consistent and persistent thoughtful and intelligent actions replicated on a daily basis is harder to implement as it requires a total shift in thinking and being.I did not have 2 pennies to my name and often was on food stamps and would pawn what jewelry I had over and over again just to eat.
