I did keep the EMD from the 2nd buyer -- I had to write a letter and drop it off at the title company because my agent didn't do it and I got a certified letter that they were going to release it back to the buyer if they didn't get written notice from me.

I would suggest adjusting the price based off similar comparable units in your marketplace simply by going onto Zillow, or other similar sites, and seeing what is moving and what price point that is.

You don't know how the process works so I don't know why you think you would be getting offers accepted without a pre-approval or proof of funds.You get a pre-approval with a lender you know and every time you make an offer, you just have them adjust and confirm the date and the new property address.
