My career is in the music industry and I am constantly on the road because of it.

But, and I assume your son is in his 20's, avery venue for music, every restaraunt his group makes plans to go to, every bar- everything will be in Louisville.  

For instance (and this is for apartments not houses) I've had perspective tenants asking about loud music and parties to see if that would be an issue. 

I manage all of my rentals with a regular day job, a regular part-time job, and a fairly active music hobby, and still manage to get in family time, etc.

I've been a music educator and musician for the last 10 years, in which time I've also started a music studio, as a small business.

There is high demand during season, plus boat shows, ultra music festival, etc. 

I play musical chairs with my HELOCs much the way you might with credit card balance transfers.

Last summer I moved to the Nashville/Franklin area to continue working in the music industry.
