Yep... as others have said, you need to know the landlord-tenant law for your jurisdiction and follow proper procedure.

When purchasing a property with tenants in place, there are some common procedures to take that are discussed at length in other posts; use "search the site" in the right hand side of the blue bar at the top of this page to find more on this topic.As @Joel Owens says, the best time to address some of these problems is before the closing.

OTOH, it may well turn into a wake up call to those running the health care systems that they need to get off their duffs, get procedures in place and make sure they work!
