I want to get started in Real Estate Investing, I have a paid off home in Arizona. looking to refinance and do the whole BRRRR Strategy BUT the problem is that i am a foreign national and refinancing my home is nearly impossible I've called close to 20 banks and private lenders and most of them dont even deal with foreign nationals and the ones that do make it nearly impossible to invest with the high points closing costs and rates. what i was thinking of doing is adding a U.S. citizen ( partner) to the tiltle of my home in order to refinance thru them and gt the best rates most money and lowest closing costs possible.

Investing up here in Boone is impossible with property values so high so Ihave been looking more towards Wilkes and Winston.

My original plan was to buy a 2/1 condo or apartment with an FHA, and rent out the other room however, I've learned that's almost impossible since most condos are coops and do not allow subleases.

To purchase a starter house in this city (using conventional 25% down) is 200K or so, and it's nearly impossible to cash flow (unless, of course, you're a flipper w/ experience and want to manage the property yourself).

I went over there a few years back and was able to get appointments with folks within days of my arrival very business oriented area and willing to listen.. unlike US were it would be near impossible to make the same contacts as quickly.
